Researchers can access records held by the State Archives by contacting and visiting the State Archives facility in Juneau. Researchers are encouraged to search our collection catalog below and email State Archives staff (firstname.lastname@example.org) or submit a Research Inquiry Form prior to arrival. Researchers should also see our For Researchers page for information about researching and our digitized collections. The State Archives provides a research room with workstations where clients can study and make photocopies/scans of collection materials.
To help you navigate and maximize your search within the collection catalog, review the Structure of Records Organization for the Alaska State Archives spreadsheet [155 Kb]. Each tab includes detailed instructions to help you navigate the different agency, record group, and series levels within the collection catalog.
